Two weeks since the 2 day workshop!
Just before the 2 day workshop I trailed the little movie that I had made about completing Accident Report Forms. It was great that the students enjoyed the activity. I identified amendments that I wanted to make so that it would better focus on the outcomes and have been able to amend it.
During the 2 day workshop I created an application form and have now used it with students - so have a good idea about how I need to change it as well as identify some learning activities I need to build around it. (The challenge will be to remember how to do it!)
I had a meeting with Marie last Wednesday. It was really great to be able to discuss issues and be shown some things in Calibre. So I now have Calibre on my computer. I created a word document and we tried to insert a movie and then converted it to PDF. It didn't work so we then tried to insert the movie into the PDF ... again no luck but I am continuing to explore different options. If anyone knows how to do this, it would be great to hear from you.
I have also completed Part 1 of the little movie I'm making (using photos and audio) around employment in Australia for migrants and refugees learning English, and have planned some activities around it.
I have been able to get limited access to Lynda training so today I'm looking at some on Adobe InDesign as I have been told that the new Adobe CS6 version has the ability to publish interactive eBooks. I'm really looking forward to getting these programs (still waiting for them to arrive - release date delayed)
