My Adobe CS6 has arrived!!!

Yippie!

I got my Adobe CS6 a week ago.  Last weekend I spent time watching some more tutorials and playing with Adobe InDesign.  I am designing the "front page" ... not quite finished but I am happy with how it is going.  Not really sure about the settings and dimensions I should use (for an eventual eBook) so have provisionally made it 800 px x 600 px with a "web" setting.

... also have made it a book with facing pages - is this a good idea if it will be an eBook eventually?

I made an image with the title in the top main area with three smaller sections under it that I want to make into buttons - two states (roll over and original).  I have been trying to work out how to make the buttons with some strange results.  If anyone knows how to do this, would love to hear from you.

This is the image for the top part of the front 'page':

The three sections that are underneath this image in the inDesign program are: Finding, Applying and Interviews ... don't have an image for the interview part yet as I haven't made the interview - don't have the people.

... I think I will have to rethink my project.  It is definitely too big at the moment and not sure if I am going to get any time this term to work on it.

  1. sounds exciting, i haven't used indesign but it certainly looks and sounds like its on the right track for ebooks. Will be interested to see how it turns out.
